here in são paulo - brazil is too expensive. in a normal shopping cinema, these are the prices:

Weekday: Brazilian Reals R$17,00 (~USD 8.40)
Weekend: R$ 22,00 (~USD 10.88)

Depending which theater I go, it's around $10-12 for a regular movie, $8 for a matinee (my usual), $3 extra in 3D, and almost $20 Imax/Imax3D. And usually a few dollars cheaper for kids and over 60.

To form an idea of how much / little that is, in economical context, the medium wage in our country is of about 200$/month. And minimum is about 150$.

On average RM10 for 2D and RM15 for 3D in Malaysia.

In the UK it's anything from $7 to $20, I'd say it's generally around $10 for non fancy (3D, Imax, etc) viewings.

tickets are around 10 € = 12.566 USD.

it's expensive. Going to watch a movie is becoming really expensive here...

Here in Mumbai - India there is one IMAX screen where we prefer to watch most our films...for The Dark Knight Rises they have shows running from 7 in the morning...7 and 10 o clock shows are Rs.350.00 flat rate ( USD 6.25) any show after that is for Rs.400 (USD 7) or Rs.600 (USD 10.7)...some times they reduce the prices if the movie is running for more weeks. Also non Imax screens are about Rs.250 (USD 4) in most good cinema halls.

Does anyone know of a country/city in which cinema ticket prices between movies? (NOTE: this does not include price discrimination based on age, 2D vs 3D screenings, or matinee discounts/opening night premiums)

Tickets in London (at current weak pound exchange rates) are $18, standard 11 pound at all cinemas. far to prices when most people are paid min wage 6 quid...

went to movies yesterday in Ashford, UK, and the price was £12.50
