Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple (3 Jul 2014)
Winsor & Newton on Fabriano Artistico Coldpress 300GSM
It has just finished renovations and all the statues look new again. There are still quite a lot of construction scaffolding around but with art, unlike photography, you can choose not to include them.
Oh, they have this red carpet thing going all the way to the main road.

This second piece was drawn along Belilios Road just beside the temple wall. Actually, you can see this building in the first sketch above. It's the building on the left corner that's left uncoloured.
I was captivating by the bright saturated flower garlands which you probably can't tell. LOL.
The yellow signs on the lamp post are actually posters on the alcohol ban in the Little India area. Yes, we have a country-wide chewing gum ban, and now there's the alcohol ban.
I'm using the Noodler's Polar Black instead of the standard Noodler's Black Ink. For some reason, on some pens, the ink is less than dark black. So the lines today are less than black, more on the greyish side which doesn't look that good on paper but with a little Photoshop, the sketch is still presentable online.
