Brick by Brick by Stephen McCranie (Kickstarter)

Brick by Brick is a comic book on mastering your artistic craft. It collects essays which are drawn in comics that talk about the creative process, things like setting goals, fighting procrastination, improving, dealing with failure. The presentation format is quite similar to Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics and Zen Pencils.

This is a book targeted at artists, or just about anyone with a creative soul.

Found this interesting book on Kickstarter that's about third party Transformers toys and accessories. It's by Philip Reed and apparently his first book campaign was a success and this book is the sequel to that.

A Week In Venice by Liz Steel


A Week in Venice is the self-published sketchbook of fervent sketcher Liz Steel and Borromini Bear. It's a travelogue sketchbook about their adventures in Venice in September 2010 with candid observations.


I got mine while Liz visited Singapore in 2012

Doug TenNapel Sketch Book Vol 2 (Kickstarter)

After the success of the Kickstarter campaign for the first sketchbook, Doug TenNapel is coming up with a second sketchbook. Doug TenNapel is the creator of Earthworm Jim, Neverhood and Catscratch.

The sketchbook will have 200 pages of sketches, complete notes on story writing and pitching for TV, ARMIKROG game designs and sketches, and pages from unfinished book Hixon Bragg.
