Transforming Expectations Toy Reference Book (Kickstarter)

Found this interesting book on Kickstarter that's about third party Transformers toys and accessories. It's by Philip Reed and apparently his first book campaign was a success and this book is the sequel to that.

A Week In Venice by Liz Steel

A Week in Venice is the self-published sketchbook of fervent sketcher Liz Steel and Borromini Bear. It's a travelogue sketchbook about their adventures in Venice in September 2010 with candid observations.

I got mine while Liz visited Singapore in 2012

Check out all the preview pages at Blurb. The book's sold there too. It's a 118-page paperback, about A5 size.

MATCHBOX from the National Arts Council

The National Arts Council has just introduced a new program called MATCHBOX to support young people with their art projects.

It's an open call for arts project ideas by young adults in Singapore. It can be in theatre, dance, music, art, photography, writing and anything in between. They are also interested in the use for arts for social impact.

The help you get will be in the form of project management guidance. There will be in-house arts managers to help you figure out the details for your project, such as funding or marketing. You can also receive mentorship from professionals and veterans in the industry. There are funding options also, up to $5000. Every once in a while there will also be networking sessions called Mayhem where guest speakers are invited and like-minded people hang around to share ideas.

Well, there's one Mayhem party coming up on 16 Oct 2013 at Lasalle.

You can enquire or send your ideas or proposals to ideas@inthematchbox.com
