Book Review: Cover Stories: The Art Of Greg Horn Volume 2
The second volume of Greg Horn's art continues with detailed luxurious illustrations. Most of the paintings are full page size in this 144 page hardcover.
There are Ms Marvel, She-Hulk, Electra, Emma Frost, Witchblade and many characters which are new to me. There are a couple of pieces created for advertising, sports and video games. Also included are a few pieces of pencil sketches with intricate details and shading. I wished there were more after looking at those few pieces.
His portrayal of characters, as usual, features extremely well toned bodies and beautiful hair. In fact, the best part I like is the hair -- the shine, curls, volume and textures are just spot on.
If you've the first book, The Art of Greg Horn, you'll see some duplication of work in this book. I counted about 10 pieces which really isn't a big deal considering the bulk of the work are new.
Highly recommended. If you haven't bought the first volume, check that book out as well.

They are both as good.
I'll update the review to make it clearer. Thanks for pointing that out.
Greg Horn's art makes me want
Greg Horn's art makes me want to punch myself in the face. For not being able to get MY terrible art to get me working for Marvel or DC. I guess I'll just have to practice illustrating anatomically incorrect playboy models from reference with no real sense of perspective.
