Beyond the Shroud: A World Unseen is the second sketchbook from Mike Corriero, a concept artist in the video game industry with almost three decades of experience. His first sketchbook Planet to Planet: Creatures and Strange Worlds was published almost 10 years ago and is still selling on Lulu.com.

Volume 2 is a 124-page hardcover book filled with creature sketches and tips and techniques on creature design. Every page is packed almost to the brim. The artworks are almost all pencil drawn. There are hand written tips as well as lengthy text explaining the design. The art looks great. This is an insightful and inspiring book. You can tell Mike really loves his work.
