Book Review: Ben Templesmith's The Art of Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse
Ben Templesmith is an artist and writer known for his work in the American comic industry. His work has received numerous Eisner Award nominations.
This is a 96-page paperback art book collecting Wormwood-related art, the covers, unpublished pieces, sketches, and a short excerpt of a new Wormwood story (probably published by now).
The art lean towards the gothic style, well, comic-gothic style with very muted earth tone colours. Much are cover art. There are no commentary except for the foreword and introduction.
It's a book I think should appeal more to fans of Wormwood and Ben Templesmith.
