Tin box can fit up to 12
This is the cheapest option if you already have a metal palette box. This is just for safe transporting of the pans.


12 half pan metal box
The empty space in the middle can store a Rosemary pocket brush or a size 6 Da Vinci pocket brush. Size 6 Escoda travel brush will not fit -- it's too long.


18 half pan metal box
This is actually the 12 half pan box but with 18 pans fitted.


24 pan metal box
The empty space in the middle can store a size 8 Escoda pocket brush together with a size 6 Da Vinci pocket brush.


24 pan plastic box
The brush holder at the top can hold a Rosemary pocket brush, size 6 Da Vinci pocket brush or size 8 Escoda pocket brush. If you remove the pans, you can store size 10 Escoda or Da Vinci pocket brushes in the main compartment. This box can hold a mix of half (24 total) and full (12 total) pans.


The plastic box can be chosen to replace the 12-half pan box, BUT it's not sold separately. To buy it separately, buy it at Taobao.com. Main reason why I'm not selling separately is because it's expensive to ship as an individual item.


48 pan metal box
The empty space in the middle can only store Rosemary pocket brush. Da Vinci and Escoda pocket brushes cannot fit.

Thank you for your quick response. I've some questions here, I hope you don't mind.
1. Can I change the quin violet to other color? It is possible to make violet with blue and red in this set without adding quin violet? I'm thinking about magenta or Quin magenta. But I'm not sure.

2. Sap green & Chromium Yellow Hue Lemon have LF 3/5, do you think they are good enough? Just curious why do you recommend this cool yellow color? :)

Yah, you can go with SCH Quinacridone Magenta PR202. This can mix vibrant purple.

Even though Sap green & Chromium Yellow Hue Lemon have LF 3/5, they are still quite lightfast.

Strange thing about SCH Sap Green is, it's made with PY 153 and PG7 both of which are LF 4/5. So I'm not sure why when together, they are less lightfast. I've been using PY175 for years and it works fine, but then my works are mostly in sketchbooks.

Also, I've included PY153 and PG7 in the list so it's easier to achieve colour harmony should you need to add more of those pigments to Sap Green.

Anyway, if you want something more permanent, consider PY154 Pure Yellow or PY150 Transparent Yellow. PY150 may be cooler, relatively speaking. PY154 is more of a mid yellow to me, but compared to PY153 it's definitely cooler.

If you like to warm colours, then perhaps go with Pyrrol Scarlet PR255. This can mix nice orange with yellows, and black with Phthalo Blue.

If you want to mix purples, then go with Quinacridone Rose PV19.

It's good to have one warm and cool red to mix warm and cool colours.

Could you put me together a box of variety of as many different greens (excluding Winsor & Newton brand) as I have those. I would like half pans I think. I don't want viridian type or fluro type greens please and I'm not specific as to the size of the box. For interesting greens, you can look at
DS Chromium Green Oxide (PG17)
DS Cobalt Green (PG50)
DS Green Gold (PY150, PY3, PG36)
DS Sap Green (PO48 + PY150 + PG7)
DS Undersea Green (PB29 + PO48 + PY150)

And Quinacridone Gold could be used to mix some greens too.

Actually if you get more variety of yellows and blues, you can mix more variety of greens. However, there are certain greens that are difficult to mix, e.g. PG17 and PG50.
