Book Review: CADIZ en 360°
Here's a sketchbook I received in Spain from Joaquin Gonzalez Dorao. He's a freelance illustrator located in Madrid.
CADIZ en 360° is just one of the many travelogue sketchbooks he has published. If you visit his website, you'll be able to see all the titles, and also page previews of the other sketchbooks. He has been to A LOT of places.
There are 104 pages in this hardcover sketchbook. It features watercolour sketches of Cadiz, one of the oldest city in Spain and Europe. The beautiful sketches are of the city, culture and people going about their daily lives. The accompanying notes are written in Spanish but there are English translation at the back of the book.
If you plan on visiting the place, there's also an illustrated map included, with all labeled spots where all the drawings were made.
The book is mostly sold on Spanish websites. You can use the ISBN 9788461617470 to look for it.
Also check out more art on Joaquin Gonzalez Dorao's Flickr page.
