Book Review: The Art of Bee Movie

I can't say much about the movie but the art book is great.

There are concept art for The Hive, vehicles, props, Central Park, New York and the characters. Most of the pages are devoted to The Hive and character designs. The paintings are very beautiful. Panels are neatly laid out.

The book is divided into 3 parts. The first part contains art for The Hive and the props, second part are drawings for Manhattan and the buildings and the last part is for character designs.

The write up describes the production process of the movie. The captions in between the art pieces provide insight into the design.

Movie stills and 3D renders are missing, but definitely not missed.

This book provides depth in explanation and art. It is a visual delight to read and well worth a place on the book shelf.
